Beirut, once again the Paris of the Middle East

 

- Foreign Policy Magazine, July/August 2006 citing the Lebanese Ministry of Tourism. Perhaps better known however as the Lebanese Ministry of Terrorism: “Saudis, Jordanians, and Iranians, a third of all visitors”, making up a third of the 27% of Lebanese GDP, placing it first in the region. It must be the arms sales which make up a third of Iran’s and Syria’s GDPs. But maybe the agency meant "Paris" in that Lebanon "hosts" Iranian and Syrian Islanofascists much the same way France "hosted" the German Nazis.
