Educrat Scramble: McEducation Failure

Today’s outrage: teacher says blacks are inferior

Our McPublic School system is badly in need of an overhaul, that we’ve known for some time. But at least in the past illiterate McChildren were only being forced to put condoms on cucumbers in timed relays for Sex-Ed class and watch crack deals go down in the hallways.

But the plot, it thickens.

First the horde of sex-offenders pretending to be teachers and now this: A teacher in South Carolina telling his students that blacks are inferior to whites.

The idiot du jour: ninth grade High School teacher Winston McCuen (visage above) who told his class that “as a rule” blacks are inferior to whites and that slavery was a good thing too.

Oh, and here’s this gem from the school district’s pro forma statement about McMoron: “The District cannot dictate the personal political views of its employees.”

Just “personal political views”? Why not have a few former WWII Nazis come teach, and also throw in Saddam Hussein for good measure, if we’re going to play the moral equivalency game between radical hatred and politics (which is often dirty, but for different reasons).

Your tax dollars again at work, my friend. Not that there weren’t already more than enough reasons for any parent to want to pull his or her child out of public school, but the above McRacist incident is really the cherry on top, n’est ce pas?  It’s a shame Democrats keep road blocking any effort to allow poorer families School Choice so those families don’t have to put up with this detritus of an education system (along with its notable reputation for helping Johnny to not read, think for himself, or find the United States on a map).

I know there are many, many good teachers out there, but I’m beginning to wonder if one of the modern qualifications for getting a public school teacher certificate – or becoming and administrator – is that one possess some sort of mental impairment.

And of course, lest you haven’t quite had your fill, there was another teacher in the news earlier this week for showing X-rated movies to his 7th grade foreign language class. His administrators defended him too.

But heaven help a parent who home schools her child, who then tests years ahead of his peers and might actually also learn character: that of course (at least according to the NEA) is child abuse and must be stopped!

I picked up an old reading text book at an antique book store awhile back. The reader was designed for middle schoolers. By today’s public education standards, it was written at the masters degree level.

Tell me again why politics and teachers’ unions have been a good thing for anyone but politicians and “political” teachers. This is why at the end of the day there’s really only one true child advocate: his parent, and once again why we need School Choice.

Things like this are why so many homeschool, or send their kids/grandkids to private schools. Whatever happened to actually just learning reading, writing and arithmitic?

It is trending that way, Angel. Hopefully, that trend will continue.

The problem with learning to read, write and do arithmetic is that it teaches kids to think and find knowledge on their own; all dangerous ideas if you want to create an army of little brainless pro-abort, anti-progress, anti-America followers. Thinking children are also less likely to grow up to vote for the party that panders to the NEA.
